Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins. If you are looking for a place to belong, we have a place for you at Immanuel.
Missions/Outreach
Immanuel Baptist Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Immanuel Baptist Church is involved in Ministries in Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, KY Disaster Relief Missions, The Lord’s Kitchen Ministry, Book Link International, Operation Christmas Child, and many Local Mission Projects. We also have a visitation team that makes visits each week.
Adult Music Ministry
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments, some are vocalists, others are involved in the choir, and still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. Our adult choir rehearses on Sundays at 5 PM.
Our Place Ministry
Our Place is a ministry through God’s Food Pantry of Pulaski County. Our Place provides goods to non-profit agencies, schools, and churches in the Lake Cumberland Area. IBC volunteers go each week and help to organize and shelve donations at the Our Place warehouse. See Linda Eggers for more information.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and other Social Media outlets presence for additional church communication. Immanuel also involves volunteers in our Worship Presentation and Media Team. Members of this team handle all technology aspects of worship, from microphones and sound to worship presentation and lights. We are always looking for interested church members to serve in any capacity in this ministry.
WMU
Women’s Missionary Union
WMU is about missions. We challenge believers to understand and be involved in the mission of God. Through holistic discipleship, we help you to: Learn, Pray, Give, Serve, and Support Missions. WMU at Immanuel is proud to Host our Association Women’s Ministry “Ignite Conference”. Come and be a part of a great organization.
Sunday School
At the core of every individual’s life is a need for relationships-with God, and with God’s people. Sunday School at Immanuel will help strengthen your relationship with God and with other believers. Sunday School is vital in the life of Immanuel. We have classes for all ages.
Sunday School starts at 9:30 AM.
